RESTORE+ Consortium Meeting - Progress and next steps

Two years after the kick-off workshop of the RESTORE+ project in April 2017 at IIASA, representatives of all partners have gathered in Laxenburg during 29 to 30 April 2019 to discuss the project’s progress and relevant next steps.
The objective of this two-day technical meeting was to inform all the partners about the status of the project. Every deliverable responsible has been reporting the progress of each output, tracking the related activities, milestones and indicators. This work has been preparatory for the upcoming mid-term meeting, that will be held in Brazil in September 2019, in which the progress of the project will be publicly discussed with local and international policymakers along with the advisory board.

Besides discussing the project progresses, the partners of the Consortium have been addressing different technical and organizational topics:
  • looking into the elements that characterize the RESTORE+ methodology
  • defining the future outreach activities (next project showcases, scientific conferences and events for engagement of policymakers)
  • coordinating a common publication strategy to maximize dissemination capacity (through peer-reviewed scientific publications) and contribution to the public discussion and awareness on the topic
  • discussing a sharing policy for the data, tools and models employed, implemented or generated by the project.
